Andrew Building: Should I take the 'long' stairs or wait for the 'long line' in the elevator?

One main problem of La Sallian students who have their classes in the Andrew building is the limited resource of elevators working. There are two ways on how to solve this problem- either use the stairs or the elevator.

Students use stairs for exercise purposes. At the same time, they train their muscular endurance, which is for the heart. And also, once the students see that the line is very long, they would rather take the stairs because using the elevator may cause them to be late in class. But after taking the stairs, one will feel tired and exhausted for all their energy is put into climbing the stairs. Second is the use of elevator, students take it because for them, it is faster and more convenient. it also challenges the students to be patient while waiting for their turn to use the elevator. Therefore, students prefer to use the stairs if they want to have exercise or if there is longer line in the elevators. if there will be more elevators, then there would be shorter lines and students who prefer to take the stairs would not be late for their class. Moreover, students do not use stairs if their floor range from eleventh floor to twenty-first floor because if they do, they will feel tired and exhausted.

So students' choice of whether to use stairs or elevator varies depending on the floor number of their class, but using stairs is defintely a big help for it is ones healthy living!

  1. Your topic is very interesting. The title you made was also catchy. Furthermore, in your essay, I was able to see the different advantages and disadvantages of taking the stairs and using the elevators. I also agree with your conclusion, since as a Lasallian student, I also based my decision on the floor number, and most of the time, I prefer using the stairs since I will be able to do some exercise while training my endurance. Overall, this is a very creative, yet practical essay.
